Buttermilk Syrup

1 C Sugar
1/2 C Butter
1/2 C buttermilk (can do regular milk with a splash of lemon juice)
1 T White Corn Syrup
Bring to a boil and cook for 3 min in deep saucepan. After boiling for 3 minutes remove from heat and add:
1/2 t baking soda
1 t vanilla
Mix well and serve warm
